This is Jacob. He is my first born son. Jacob is 14. He plays football. He is maturing physically faster than I ever thought possible. He’s a good kid…growing into a gentle, kind man every single day. He towers over me, and his new job is reaching the stuff on top of the kitchen cabinets for me. Thereby preventing me from falling to my death, since I’m too lazy to drag over a chair, and just usually scale the drawers like a ladder and stand on top of the counter top. Don’t tell Larry about the drawer scaling though…he just thinks our cabinets are cheap and falling apart and that we are in need of NEW kitchen cabinets. I’d like to keep it that way….
Jacob suffers from “middle child syndrome” whereby he thinks the world is out to get him, it’s a conspiracy against him when he is asked to do the dishes, and generally has paranoid tendencies. I totally understand. I am a middle child also. And sometimes I too feel like there is a conspiracy against me when I enter my kitchen, after having only done the dishes an hour before, and find a mountain of cereal bowls and glasses in my sink!
Jacob is my oldest son. He’s NOT my favorite child, either. I don’t play favorites, you know. But don’t tell HIM that….

You are welcome honey. And remember….it’s NOT a conspiracy against you. I’m just keeping it real, here…
Love you,
Mom
